Nature's Healing Powers
A Show-and-Tell of Local Medicinal Plants:
Students will discover nature’s healing powers through exploration of their backyards and neighborhoods, specifically in search of medicinal plants. Considering how prominent the use of medicinal plants is in St. Vincent, it is useful for children to learn what different plants are growing around them that can be useful in times of illness. This activity is also good practice to get students better at identifying different plants, their parts, and their categories.
